Meet The Team

Sierra Saletta - Owner / Lead Planner

Hi, I’m Sierra! I’m a hopeless romantic who can’t get enough of weddings. Seriously. Who doesn’t love to celebrate love?!

Crafting beautiful memories is my dream job! Event planning allows me to combine my meticulously detailed side with my creative and artistic side. Whether your dream wedding is a cathedral in a forest or a cathedral in a church, I can create beauty in both contexts. I love meeting with clients, dreaming up their perfect day and executing that vision; or poring over contracts to make sure every t is crossed and every i is dotted.

I enjoy the challenge of transforming an entire space in just a few hours. I cherish watching months of meetings, choices and discussions culminate into a gorgeous wedding. I love all of it. Confucius once said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” That is precisely how I feel about being a wedding planner. I love seeing the joy on the bride’s face when her dream wedding comes true.

When I’m not working on an event, you can find me taking long walks with my dog, curled up enjoying a good cup of tea with my cat on my lap, or carving up the slopes with my husband. I love being outside and find the beauty of nature an endless source of inspiration. I also love to dance, craft, decorate, travel, watch movies, and listen to audiobooks.

Why Little Bird?

There are two reasons behind the name. First, I’ve always had an affinity for birds. Like the events I plan, birds come in many shapes, sizes, and colors. I enjoy the unique beauty of their feathers and the graceful way they move across the skies. They are like flying works of art. Secondly, I wanted to honor the nickname my late mother gave me as a child; she always called me her baby bird. Thus, Little Bird Events was born.

Shadaya Hannaman - Wedding Planner

Hi, I'm Shadaya! I am in love with love and have a passion for planning weddings and events. For as long as I can remember I have wanted to design and plan weddings. I knew at a very young age that this would be my career and have not stopped chasing that dream. There is something special about spending an entire day celebrating love and partnership, and I knew I wanted to be a part of as many of those days as possible. I love helping clients create events that are everything they dreamed of and more. My attention to detail, dedication, and great work ethic make me the perfect person for your event.

When I am not creating beautiful events, you can find me in the mountains four-wheeling with my husband or taking a long soak in the hot springs. I love to read, spend time with friends and family, and play with my dog.

Mark - Husband / Event Assistant

When Mark married Sierra, he had no idea how many wedding related projects would filter into his daily life. However, when you are extremely handy and creative, you get dragged into a lot of projects and sometimes you end up lending an extra set of hands on event days. Thankfully Mark has accepted this in good stride. He’s often working behind the scenes to help Little Bird Events run smoothly by building escort displays, helping to load the van before event days or just keeping Sierra well fed during wedding season. When he’s not assisting with events, Mark works as a drafter for a landscape architecture company. In his free time he enjoys gardening, golfing and snowboarding.
